Why Go Pink?

Breast cancer affects people in every community, and raising awareness is just as important as raising funds. When you Go Pink this October, you help shine a light on early detection and support vital breast cancer care across West Moreton.

Your involvement helps fund better treatment, spread awareness, and save lives. Together, we can detect it, treat it, defeat it.

Go Pink 2025 launch breakfast

The West Moreton community came together in a sea of pink on Wednesday 1 October to launch this year’s Go Pink campaign in support of breast cancer care and services across our region.

Your support in action

When you Go Pink, you are helping deliver more compassionate, life-saving breast cancer care right here in our community. Because of you, patients across West Moreton are receiving better support, closer to home.

With your help, we introduced SCOUT wire-free technology, which makes tumour localisation more comfortable and less invasive for patients. Thanks to your generosity, West Moreton became one of the first public hospital services in the country to offer this advanced technology — helping improve outcomes for local women facing breast cancer surgery.

You’ve helped fund mammography chairs that make screenings a more comfortable experience — because even small improvements can make a big difference when it comes to patient care.

Through your support, a mobile stereotaxy chair is now enabling breast screening services to reach regional communities — ensuring more people can access vital care closer to home.

And because of you, patients undergoing treatment now have access to improved lounges and treatment rooms, complete with entertainment that makes the environment more calming and supportive.

Your generosity is changing lives. Together, we’re helping detect it, treat it, and defeat it.
