1. Collect eligible containers
Most aluminium, glass, plastic, steel and liquid paperboard beverage containers between 150ml and 3L are eligible for a 10-cent refund.

2. Return your containers
There are four different types of refund points available in Queensland. To find a refund point visit the Containers for Change website.
Depots
Walk in or drive through to get your containers counted and refunded on the spot. Best for large loads.
Bag drops
Simply ‘bag it, tag it, drop it’. Bag drops are available at various locations as a convenient and contact free way to cash in.
Reverse vending machines (RVMs)
Insert containers into an RVM so the machine can count your containers by scanning their barcodes. Best for smaller returns.
Pop-ups
These are run by local depot operators who organise a set time and location that you can visit to return your containers.
3. Donate your refund
Simply quote the Foundation's member number or scan the barcode at the refund point to donate your refund.
