A dedicated fund to support rural nurses in West Moreton
West Moreton Health Foundation (WMHF) is the charity partner of West Moreton Health. Our initiatives are guided by the expertise of our region’s leading clinicians who work in our communities every day, across the Scenic Rim, Lockyer Valley, Ipswich and Somerset.
Informed by their insights, we fund vital medical equipment, forward-thinking research, patient support services, and health promotion initiatives.
Every dollar donated stays in the region, helping our healthcare workers deliver impactful health outcomes for our communities.
About the fund
Bob’s widow, Susan Soltys, has made a significant upfront donation to establish the fund and will partner with West Moreton Health Foundation to guide its growth, supporting rural nurses in Boonah and potentially serving as a model for other communities.
The fund will invest in rural generalist nursing education, scholarships, leadership, inpatient services, primary health, telehealth, oncology, and emergency retrievals.
