Sunflowers for good — helping local healthcare bloom

Proud charity partner

West Moreton Health Foundation is proud to once again be a charity partner of the Kalbar Sunflowers Festival. When you support this vibrant local event, you’re helping build a healthier future for our community. Every ticket sold and dollar donated helps fund vital equipment and programs that make a real difference for patients, families, and healthcare workers across the West Moreton region.

Boonah Hospital Sunflower Sphere

The Boonah Hospital Sunflower Sphere is a permanent sculpture created as part of the Kalbar Sunflowers community initiative. The sphere will feature 210 individually sponsored sunflowers, each engraved with a nominated name.

Once completed, the sculpture will be installed at Boonah Hospital, where it will stand as a symbol of generosity, gratitude and community connection.

Designed and handcrafted by local artists Wendy and Rob Badke, the sphere reflects the strength of the Scenic Rim community and the shared commitment to supporting local healthcare.

Charity raffle

Go in the draw to win great prizes while supporting local healthcare.

Raffle tickets are available online and in-person across the festival weekend. With prizes generously donated by local stallholders, every ticket sold helps fund equipment, programs and spaces that make a real difference for patients and healthcare teams across our region.

Buy your tickets, back your local hospitals and get involved for your chance to win.

Marquee events

Three marquee events across the festival weekend will support West Moreton Health Foundation, bringing the community together to celebrate and give back.

Each event will feature raffles, auctions and a lucky door prize, with great prizes to be won across the weekend.

Final tickets to the gala dinner are selling fast, so don’t miss your chance to be part of it.

Ice Creams for Good

Treat yourself while making a difference.

Visit the West Moreton Health Foundation stall while at the festival to enjoy ice cream made from local produce, with three delicious flavours to choose from. Every purchase helps fund better healthcare and supports our teams to deliver the best possible care, close to home.

Your support in action

Thanks to the generosity of Kalbar Sunflowers and its incredible supporters, last year’s festival helped fund a brand new cuddle bed for the palliative care ward at the Ripley Specialised Inpatient Service. This special piece of equipment gives loved ones the chance to share comfort and closeness during life’s most difficult moments — a heartfelt reminder of how community support can truly change lives.
