Proud charity partner

West Moreton Health Foundation is proud to once again be a charity partner of the Kalbar Sunflowers Festival. When you support this vibrant local event, you’re helping build a healthier future for our community. Every ticket sold, flower picked, and dollar donated helps fund vital equipment and programs that make a real difference for patients, families, and healthcare workers across the West Moreton region.

Boonah Hospital Sunflower Sphere

The Boonah Hospital Sunflower Sphere is a permanent sculpture created as part of the Kalbar Sunflowers community initiative. The sphere will feature 210 individually sponsored sunflowers, each engraved with a nominated name.

Once completed, the sculpture will be installed at Boonah Hospital, where it will stand as a symbol of generosity, gratitude and community connection.

Designed and handcrafted by local artists Wendy and Rob Badke, the sphere reflects the strength of the Scenic Rim community and the shared commitment to supporting local healthcare.

Your support in action

Thanks to the generosity of Kalbar Sunflowers and its incredible supporters, last year’s festival helped fund a brand new cuddle bed for the palliative care ward at the Ripley Specialised Inpatient Service. This special piece of equipment gives loved ones the chance to share comfort and closeness during life’s most difficult moments — a heartfelt reminder of how community support can truly change lives.
